– Rates, Prices, Fees & Quotes –
In order to request a quotation for a Translation, an Interpretation, a Proofreading, Multilingual (Self-directed) Education Guidance or a Text Composition assignment, contact us by phone +4794115408 or by email to tra.no.beamouvement@gmail.com with a complete description of the assignment and, if relevant, a scan or a copy of the initial product/document (for proofreading & translation assignments). We will answer your request with a quote as soon as possible.
Please be aware that emergency imperatives come also along with additional fees. It is therefore always advised to plan your request well in advance, in order for you to avoid your request being “urgent“. To process your request as quickly as possible, it must be as complete as possible. It must contain relevant & important information such as the date or deadline when you need the assignment to be completed & delivered/received, the purpose of the assignment, the number of copies/products to be delivered, the source & target languages the assignment involves (languages from and into which you need the product/document to be translated, proofread or composed), any other relevant information essential for us to assess the price of the assignment. For multilingual (self-directed) education guidance assignments, we ask you to give a thorough description of why and what you want the guidance for (your goals, purpose & any other information concerning your learning of the language).

-For Translation & Proofreading assignments –
Once an assignment is agreed on by both parties – Tra.No & our client-, please note that for documents containing manuscript information (such as manuscript/handwritten names, dates, signatures and else), we will probably need a copy of the passport or of any other (ID) document of the person whose name is written in manuscript. The document must contain the complete name of the person to whom it belongs. This is because the name on the translation or proofreading must match the right and correct spelling of the name on the original ID document to be translated or proofread.
Please note that most certified documents needing to be translated in order to be used within or sent to authorities/state bodies are required to contain and be certified & authenticated by an Apostil (also said “Apostille”)*. In order to avoid needing to add an Apostil after having received the translation, keep in mind to request an Apostil directly when the certified document is issued by the right authority before asking the translator to translate the certified document. The Apostil must be translated as well. It will help you save some extra waiting time, by avoiding asking two translation assignments instead of one.

When you request a quote for an assignment from Tra.No for – a Translation, an Interpretation, Multilingual (Self-directed) Education Guidance, a Proofreading, a Copy Writing / Text Composition or Artistic & Wellbeing Advising – the final quote & price can greatly vary depending on various factors.
Which factors are taken into account when assessing a price and delivering a quote for a particular assignment?
– The deadline of the assignment –
More proximate deadlines will be more expensive, so are emergency requests. Deadlines involving working at the weekend, at night, late in the evening or very early in the morning or for assignments that must be prioritized above others will be more expensive (the rate can be increased by 200% of the initial price for such type of work).
– The languages involved-
Some languages such as Russian, Hindi or Chinese are less common and require more knowledge, work, research & expertise, the price of an assignment involving these kinds of languages will be higher than the price of a translation in English for example.
– The level of specialization & expertise of the assignment –
The more specialized the assignment is, the higher the quote/rate/price will be. This is because it requires more research, extra (lexical) software, the visit of certain specialized libraries or the consultations of experts about lexical & other kinds of issues related to the assignment. For instance, a juridical translation will cost more than a casual usual translation. Because the lexical nature of the document requires more expertise, specialization & professional experience, it directly influences its price.
– Additional expenses incurred by the assignment –
All additional expenses that the assignment induces will come as a supplement to the minimum rate. These expenses can be traveling, food & accommodation expenses, software, expert consultancy and advising, material & all other expenses that the completion of the assignment requires. These expenses will always be discussed with our clients for agreement before being decided and our clients’ financial responsibility be engaged. Our clients’ agreement will always be the object of a written contract signed by both parties before such expenses will occur.
– Our work pace & prioritizing requirements –
In case we are under particular high work pressure, our rates are most likely to increase in order to respond to the particularly demanding working circumstances we are put in for a given period of time. Such a high pace might affect the quality of our life for a given long or short period of time. In such a case and in order to respond at best to these circumstances, we must prioritize assignments that are in legal need & obligation to be prioritized (what the international & national laws require to be prioritized) before we do prioritize any other assignments. This might affect the price of these prioritized assignments.
Emergency requirements & imperatives for a given assignment might imply additional fees & a higher rate, even though the requirement is made in accordance to or stated by the law or that the imperative is due to circumstances that the client or that we are not responsible for.

As it is named, this rate is an “Average Standard Rate”, under the level of which we hardly ever accept to work. Most of our quotes concerning assignments we undertake can eventually be set at a higher rate, depending on and because of other requirements that these assignments entail. Just remember that this rate is just an indication of the average standard price you can expect for a given assignment. In order to give you the most accurate quote & price, we invite you to contact us with a copy of the concerned documents and/or a description of the assignment.
** This average standard rate corresponds to the translation of about 890 words per hour, with our minimum rate of 0,09 EU / word for an unspecialized product without an urgent deadline. For some standard unspecialized products, we can, however, translate up to 1000 words per hour. The rate and price of the assignment will then be calculated accordingly and the rate ‘per word’ would be applied for such a bigger and faster assignment. The applicable rate and work speed are always assessed and agreed with, between and by the two parties, our clients and Tra.No, before engaging any economic responsibility and are officialized by a written agreement between the two parties.

Specialized Certified Juridical & Sworn Translation & Interpretation
For juridical & Sworn Translation & Interpretation assignments, we do align with the rates applied for specialized translation & interpretation assignments. With the exception of when the applied rate of the other country is higher than the one we apply. In this case, the higher rate will be applied. This concerns both the source language from & the target language to which the document shall be translated or in which the interpretation shall be performed and where the document(s) come(s) from, was issued & shall be used for/in.

Cancellation Fees & Rates
The cancellation of assignments short before (if the assignment implied other expenses that we can not cancel and thus have nevertheless to assume) or after the assignment has already started, and is thus partly completed, does not mean the cancellation of payment related to the assignment. Cancellation compensation is applied and must be assumed by the client or cooperator as a part of his / her own responsibility when the cancellation comes from the client’s part and involves expenses we must assume & for the part of the assignment already completed. The cancellation compensation rate (price) will equal the percentage of completion of the assignment & the completed part of the product will be delivered to our client following due payment by our client.
If 25% of the assignment is completed when the cancellation takes place, our client is legally liable and obligated to pay Tra.No 25% of the initial price mentioned on the initial quote – and shall be delivered the completed part of the product/assignment after payment. The percentage of completion is calculated according to the accurate time (by accurate time, we mean: month, day & hour) when Tra.No is informed about the cancellation by the client.
All other expenses incurred by the assignment (traveling, accommodation and others) are also the legal responsibility and obligation of the client, in case of cancellation.

Payment Procedure
Important information about Quote, Invoicing & Payment
Please be aware that at Tra.No, unless the assignment is given by a client we are used to work with, unless otherwise agreed with our client and unless progressive payment for long assignment or longterm collaboration is applied, we do only deliver the final product / completed assignment to our clients after due payment for all simple occasional projects requested by all new clients we do not know or by private individuals. This is to secure the factual correct payment for the work & services we provide. This procedure does not concern long assignments, clients we regularly collaborate with or invoice exceeding 100 US dollars. For such clients, assignments or invoices, progressive payments and/or anticipated payment of a percentage of the invoice is applied and agreed upon with our clients at the time of the quote agreement process.
We ask our clients to proceed with the payment by bank transaction to the bank account of our company. The final product / completed assignment is delivered right after the payment is received & visible on our bank account.
We do only work with invoicing & official bank payments, payments via Paypal or payments via Vipps. We usually do not accept cash payments for any of our assignments.

Detailed description of the entire payment process
- A client sends us a request
- We deliver our client a quote with an exact rate & price for a given assignment
- The price is accepted by our client & the assignment is confirmed by both our client & Tra.No
- An invoice is delivered concerning the concerned given assignment, of which the price is most likely to remain unchanged until the client proceed with the payment & the final product/completed assignment is delivered*
- An Assignment Freelance Contract is signed by the client & Tra.No (a copy of the contract is delivered to both parties)
- For a bigger long-term project (of several days, weeks, months or years), we do ask progressive payments by our client at several stages of the project progression, regardless of whether the product is partially or completely finalized & delivered or not – these payments serve the purpose of deposit & payment guarantee for Tra.No
- For short or usual projects/documents/assignments, we ask our clients to proceed with the payment when the product is finalized / the assignment is completed & ready to be delivered
- When the payment is received & visible on our bank account, the product is delivered, either by email, by post or both
- For clients in Norway, payments can be proceeded with by VIPPS. This makes its visibility direct and thus accelerates the product delivery by Tra.No & the reception by the client
- Our client confirms the reception of the final product
- We invite our clients to give us feedback about their assessment of the quality of our products/assignment
- We do invite our clients to contact Tra.No for other assignments in the future
- We are happy that we had the opportunity to cooperate with you, as a client
- We thank you for having cooperated with us & for trusting Tra.No & its expertise
* The price in a quote, invoice & payment for a given assignment can only change if the assignment itself changes (clients might make or require changes within or of the initial assignment & primary product, on the basis of which the quote has been initially issued) or if the level of expertise required appears to be more challenging than primarily assessed. It rarely happens. But it can happen. Additional charges such as software fees, additional terminological researches or experts consultancy can lead to an increase of the initial quote & price. As a client, only know that this can happen and change the initial quote & price. Tra.No commits however to informing our clients as soon as possible if such increase of the quote/price occurs. All changes in the price/quote of an assignment must and will be agreed by our client before engaging its financial responsibility. We do only change our price after the preliminary agreement of our clients (especially when it comes to additional fees related to particular expenses). As well as we ask our clients to inform us directly if any change of the initial product or assignment occurs. This also applies for the cancellation of any assignments. Whatever is the reason for cancellation. This is to secure the quality of our work, of our services & of our final delivered product / completed assignment, our meeting the delivery deadline & optimal cooperation with our clients.
